“Flatland” documents Tohru, a flatland BMX rider, as he practices. At least three times a week, he travels to a small semi-circular space near the local City Hall. Smooth, protected from wind, and relatively empty (though school children, businessmen and other bikes appear, causing him to stop, sometimes mid-trick), it is a safe space to hone his elegant and acrobatic tricks. This video captures his successes and failures as he moves, adjusts, and learns.
